Graduation
All GSB graduates within the academic year are recognized at the School of Business Administration commencement ceremony in May. However, students graduating at other times of the year will receive their diplomas after all course requirements are complete. Therefore, students must complete a full graduation application according to specified deadlines to receive their diplomas at the end of the quarter in which they anticipate completing their degree.
Graduation Application Deadlines
Fall Term - July 1
Winter Term - July 1
Spring Term - December 1
Summer Term - December 1
Students who do not apply by the deadline for the term in which they will complete degree requirements will not be eligible to receive a degree until the following term. Please note that LOCUS will not allow you to apply for the graduation term beyond the deadline.
In order to apply for graduation, students must do the following: complete the graduation application through LOCUS, print the Confirmation page, pay the graduation fee at the Bursar office, and complete the course audit form. Turn these items in at the GSB Office. The graduation application in LOCUS can be found at "Academics" and "Apply for Graduation." After completing the application, print the Confirmation page.
Students must take the Confirmation page to the Bursar office, pay a $75 application fee and receive a "paid" stamp or receipt. The GSB office cannot accept the application without the Bursar's stamp. The University requires students to pre-pay the graduation fee before submitting an application.
GSB students must also complete a Course audit form found below. Applications received without an audit form are considered incomplete and will not be processed until the audit form is received. Students may complete the audit form by viewing their transripts on LOCUS. Students in the M.S.A. degree program need only complete the graduation application and fee. M.S.A. students should meet with Dr. Brian Stanko for the final degree requirement audit.
The LOCUS Confirmation page, receipt of payment (for graduation fee), and course audit form should be turned in to the GSB office.

Honors
Students with a GPA of 3.41 or higher are invited by the GSB to apply for Beta Gamma Sigma, the Business Honors Society. Qualified Winter and Spring Quarter graduates are invited to apply each spring, and Summer and Fall Quarter grades are invited to apply each fall. Students graduating with a GPA of 4.0 will be recognized with High Dean's Honors. Those with a GPA of 3.9 will earn Dean's Honors. Certificates will be mailed to Dean's Honors recipients after completion of their degrees.
Health Insurance Information
Loyola University graduate students enrolled for 8 or more credit hours are required to have individual health care insurance. If you are registered for 8 or more hours in fall quarter, you will automatically be enrolled in the university health insurance program unless you provide proof of other health insurance coverage. If you are taking less than 8 hours or if you are enrolled in more than 8 hours in any quarter other than fall and want to enroll in the health insurance, you must opt-in by the deadline. If you are charged for the insurance but are covered under another medical insurance plan, or have an individual policy in place, then you must complete a waiver to opt out of the plan to avoid unwanted charges on your tuition bill. If you do not waive the insurance by the deadline, it is understood that you are choosing to enroll in an insurance program. Your money will not be refunded. To waive the insurance, opt-in, or to read additional information about the program, please visit the Health Care website. Additional questions can be directed to The Office of the Bursar
