Paula Carney

Paula Carney, MUND 1975 – BS Foods & Nutrition

Paula also received a MS in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a PhD in Instructional Technology with minors in Educational Research & Statistics and Nutrition from Wayne State University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. In addition, she completed coursework in Public Health at the University of Michigan and participated in an NSF-funded program in Computers and Health at the University of Missouri. Paula is Director of Grants and Scholarship in the School of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago.

Paula was previously Professor of Health Studies at Chicago State University and Associate Professor at Northwestern University where she received a graduate teaching award from the School of Professional Studies and the University of Tennessee where she received both the College of Human Ecology teaching and research awards. 

In addition to serving on the Mundelein Alumnae Board, Paula enjoys serving on the AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship Panel and reviews fellowship applications from amazing women seeking degrees in medicine and other health professions.
