2026 Salute to Service Pregame Reception
Join the Loyola community on Thursday, November 5, to honor U.S. service members, veterans, and their families. Enjoy a reception at Ireland's Pub from 5 to 7 p.m. before cheering on Loyola men's basketball against West Georgia at 7 p.m. Military veterans, active-duty service members, and members of the military community can claim up to four complimentary game tickets in Section 208.

Stuart Dybek’s (BS ’64, MA ’68) ‘Chopin in Winter’ hits the right chords on stage
When actor Yasen Peyankov first appears on stage for Chopin in Winter, a theatrical and musical production of the celebrated story by Chicago author and MacArthur Fellow Stuart Dybek (BS ’64, MA ’68) at the Chopin Theatre, he turns to the audience and begins reading from a stack of typed pages—a script transposed word for word from the original story. Is he a storyteller? The voice of the narrator? The characters whose voices permeate the story? In a way, he is all of those things.

Loyola advances in U.S. News & World Report 2027 Best Colleges rankings
From the classroom to the community, Ramblers are on a roll. Loyola University Chicago has been named among the nation’s best in the newly released U.S. News & World Report 2027 Best Colleges rankings, climbing to #121 nationally and marking the ninth consecutive year the University has placed in the top third of schools nationwide.

Loyola Celebrates New Academic Year by Honoring Beloved Rambler and International Icon Sister Jean
On Friday, August 21, Loyola University Chicago marked the beginning of a new academic year by commemorating beloved Rambler and international icon, Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, BVM, with a new statue on the Rogers Park campus. The statue unveiling and dedication, taking place on what would have been her 107th birthday, was part of the first Loyola Welcome Week since her passing on October 9, 2025, at 106.
