Walk

Walking is the healthiest and least expensive method of transportation to get you around Chicago and Loyola's Lake Shore campus. The majority of Loyola's student population lives within one mile, which can typically be walked in 20 minutes or less. The natural beauty of the campus lakefront location makes it a prime walking destination for all ages.

To encourage walking, lighting has been upgraded along major campus corridors and city footpaths to help make walking safer at night. Also, over 400 blue one-button emergency telephones are located inside and outside campus buildings and throughout the campus grounds.
