Dr. Shuwen Lou is the local organizer for the 5-day international conference "Recent Progress in Stochastic Analysis and its Applications", held here at Loyola July 15-19, 2024. This conference will bring together leading experts in probability representing its various branches. The occasion of this conference will also be used to celebrate the 60th birthday of Zhen-Qing Chen, who was included in the 2014 Class of AMS Fellows, elected Fellow of the IMS in 2017, and the winner of the Ito Prize 2019. Chen has made significant contributions to probability theory and related fields including potential theory, Dirichlet form theory and SLE.

The one-hour speakers include full professors from University of Chicago, Brown University, Cornell University, Purdue University, University of British Columbia, University of Bonn, University of Bielefeld, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Waseda University, Seoul National University, and Peking University.
