Discounted Divvy Bikeshare Membership

Loyola offers discounted rates on annual Divvy bike memberships for faculty and staff. The discount offers $25 off the annual membership rate. The bike-sharing program consists of a fleet of specially designed, heavy-duty bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations located throughout Chicago.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month: Resources for Your Well-Being

Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in the U.S. since 1949. Loyola University Chicago is committed to caring for and prioritizing the well-being of our whole community. If faculty/staff are in need of mental health and wellness support, resources are available all year and some resources are free of charge to faculty/staff and their families.

Chicago Paid Leave and Paid Sick and Safe Leave Ordinance

Effective July 1, 2024, Loyola University Chicago has updated the sick leave policy and created a new Chicago Paid Leave Ordinance policy to accommodate the new Chicago Paid Leave and Paid Sick and Safe Leave Ordinance. A FAQ resource is available to better understand this ordinance and how it applies to each employee type.

Save the Date: Feast Day of St. Ignatius on July 31

Save the date for Thursday, July 31, as Loyola celebrates the Feast Day of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, who passed away on this day in 1556. Human Resources invites Faculty, Staff, and Retirees to a celebratory Mass at 11 a.m. in Madonna della Strada Chapel, followed by a picnic on the West Quad and in the Damen Student Center at the Lake Shore Campus. The picnic will include food and beverages, friendly competition with games and prizes, and opportunities to connect with colleagues. More details, including how to RSVP, will be shared soon.

Loyola University Chicago (LUC) offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help find solutions to issues and difficulties of daily life, and provide supportive materials designed to help live a balanced lifestyle. The benefit is offered at no cost through AllOne Health for LUC employees & their families. Learn more about a variety of online and in-person health and wellness inspired support that is available through the EAP.
