Welcome to the Undergraduate Program at LUC Philosophy!

Our philosophy undergraduate programs prepare students for successful careers in a wide variety of fields, and it is well-documented that philosophy undergraduates are extremely competitive in applications for law school, medical school, and other graduate programs. (Click here for further information.) We pride ourselves on our diverse department, with deep strengths in multiple traditions of philosophy and an extensive range of course offerings, which are relevant to many different professions and interests.

The undergraduate Philosophy Major is highly customizable, with optional interest-specific specializations in Ethics & Values; Law, Society, & Social Justice; Mind & Science; and Existence, Meaning & Culture. We also offer several different minor programs, including the general Philosophy Minor, the Minor in Ethics and Moral Philosophy, as well as the interdisciplinary Bioethics Minor.

You can learn more about how to apply to our programs, as well as recent course offerings here on our website. Feel free to reach out to our Undergraduate Program Director with any questions.
