Veterans
We support those who have served our country
Loyola is committed to helping veterans who want to start or continue their path towards a degree, and we are pleased to offer a streamlined admission application process for them.
Admission Criteria
Transfer admission criteria must be met by veteran students. A minimum of 20 credits are required to be considered for transfer admission and no fewer than 12 credits from college coursework must be completed and have letter grades at the time of application. If veteran students are transferring with only military credit or fewer 12 credits from college coursework, they may only be considered for majors that do no have additional criteria and must provide official high school transcripts with or without official ACT/SAT test scores (no older than 5 years) to base a decision.
Admission Decisions
We base admission decisions on unofficial documents during the application process until official documents can be provided.
Continuing and Professional Studies
Loyola's School of Continuing and Professional Studies offers the same expedited process for its programs, which are specifically designed for nontraditional and adult students. If you are transferring with only military credit, you may only be considered for majors that do not have additional criteria with SCPS.
Military Transcripts (Methods of Delivery):
- Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard transcripts can be requested at the Joint Services Transcript site.
- Air Force transcripts can be requested through the Comunity College of the Air Force (CCAF)/Air Force University Online Transcript System.
Transfer Credit
Veteran students who provide official Joint Services Transcripts (JST) or official Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcripts will be assessed for potential transfer credits for military training.
