Excellence Awards Ceremony 

Pursuit of Excellence (RA of the Year) Award 

This award is given to a Resident Assistant who in this academic year has served the university and residential community in an exemplary manner both in and out of the RA position. The nominee should demonstrate a well-rounded approach to the position, academics and personal life, may have overcome obstacles in and out of the role, achieved significant success in the RA role, supported fellow staff members, portrayed a positive, kind, and caring approach to others and excelled in programming and community development. 

  

The Magis Award

This award is given to a returning Resident Assistant or Learning Community Assistant who has consistently demonstrated a voluntary willingness to go above and beyond the expectations of an RA throughout the year by serving as an RA and a mentor in the spirit of the Jesuit concept of “magis.”
