Division of Student Development

Guidelines

Each department in the Division of Student Development is responsible for:

  • Preparing an annual assessment plan and sharing the plan with the Director of Assessment.

  • Developing and measuring learning outcomes for students. Outcomes should be articulated for the department as a whole and for specific programs/initiatives within that department.

  • Implementing systems and processes to collect and analyze data on student learning, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data collection whenever possible. Information will be included in the Division’s Annual Report.

  • Ensuring timely dissemination of data and analyses for continuous improvement of practice.

  • Evaluating the collected data and determining how the information gleaned will be used to enhance programs.

  • Submitting Data Collection Forms for signature activities each semester, and an Annual Assessment Report to the Division of Student Development.
