What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
My favorite thing about working at Loyola is my team and the people I work with. The Health Promotion team is an amazing group that works hard to promote wellness across our campuses, and we work well and have fun together. I also enjoy working with our students, especially our peer education group the Wellness Wolfpack. I love seeing them grow as individuals and work together as a group to plan health and wellness programming here at Loyola.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
Creating a Narcan training program and increasing awareness about opioid overdoses for our students, faculty, and staff. In the past year I have trained and distributed Narcan to over 340 people at Loyola.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
To me Loyola's mission means embodying the ideas of 'care for the whole person' in all the work that I do. It helps guide me to treat all of my students with care and respect, and to understand where my role intersects with all aspects of wellness that are promoted in other roles and departments at Loyola.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
My coworkers, students, family, and friends.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride:
Living out Loyola values in my work and every day life, and wearing Loyola gear!
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you:
In my five years living in Chicago I have lived in five different neighborhoods, on the west, south, and now north side of the city.
