What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
I love the sense of community at Loyola. All of the faculty and staff are mission driven and strive to make the world around us a better place no matter how different our roles and responsibilities are.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
I have continued to be proud of our advisory board we have established for our program. When we first institutionalized Loyola Limited, it was really important for us to create a group that maintained the integrity of the experience we provide undergraduate students and could effectively advise students as they mature through the program. Our Council of Advisors is made up of Loyola Limited alumni, professors, business leaders from Chicago, and staff members from various departments. I have always been proud to have helped establish a way for this broad range of people to channel their dedication to enhancing the Loyola experience through Loyola Limited.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
The mission means using all of the resources available to you to maximize your impact on others at all times. I remember loving the mission of Loyola when I decided to move here from Alabama to attend school. I love the idea that you should attend school and pursue education so that you can leverage in constant work to improve our communities.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
I believe in our curriculum and in Loyola’s commitment to providing students with real world experiences that prepare them to graduate ready to embrace challenges and make an impact. I am motivated to help Loyola achieve that outcome in all of its students and that keeps me motivated all the time.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I always love talking about Loyola with my family in Alabama who all went to Auburn University.
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I am extremely shy and really like to avoid public speaking at all times.
