What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
Definitely my amazing team in Ministry! Working daily with faith-filled people has increased my competence and confidence, both personally and professionally, as I have grown in all areas since I began working in Ministry.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
Streamlining processes is a skill I have developed. For instance, restructuring the International Service Immersion fundraising processes and the trip procedures have helped increase our entire department’s efficiency, which gives our team the ability to achieve at a higher level.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
Immersing myself in the spirituality of Catholic tradition on a daily basis is gratifying and rewarding. St. Ignatius of Loyola’s quote, “Act as if everything depended on you; trust as if everything depended on God” resonates with me as our team works with students to carry out and model these Ignatian traditions, while providing an atmosphere that allows all religions to feel welcome.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Knowing I have support from my Ministry team, leadership at Stritch School of Medicine, and my family keeps me wanting to keep the students’ needs a priority and focal point each day.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I am a Rambler alum myself as I earned my BA in Management through the School of Continuing and Professional Studies just last year. My daughter is a senior nursing student, so it was fun to go through school together. Our entire family proudly wears Loyola gear!

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I competed in my first triathlon last summer in Door County, Wisconsin. The training was exhilarating and the event itself was overwhelmingly fulfilling. I was not a swimmer and was afraid of the water, so Sister Brenda encouraged me to take swimming lessons, which made all the difference. It was very difficult, but the finish line was so rewarding! I also enjoy running 5Ks, although I just began running three years ago.
