What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
I would say my co-workers. We are different ages and come from different backgrounds, yet we come together pretty seamlessly when need be. I have developed some solid friendships during my time here and that’s important to me.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
I really enjoyed watching Match Day with the students that started with me back in 2007. I met and worked with them shortly after we both came to Stritch. Four years later they were gathered with their families and opened an envelope that told them where their lives would go. It was really wonderful to see.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
I find the volunteer medical services that the students and faculty provide to the underprivileged in the Chicago area to be of special importance. Giving back to the community that you live, work, or study in is a necessary thing and there are a lot of people close to this campus that need help. It’s good to see they are getting it from Loyola.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Without a doubt my biggest motivation is my family. I have three great kids and although not every day is easy, they make it all worth it.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I wear my Loyola and SSOM sweatshirts a lot. Especially this past winter!
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I am one of six children, and the only girl. I guess my love of sports (the Blackhawks and White Sox, especially) comes naturally being raised with five brothers.
