Department: Academic Affairs

What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
The people all across the University, but especially my colleagues in the provost’s office. And the variety of work in which I’m involved means that no two days are alike, and that keeps it interesting.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
The opportunity to play a role in successful, University-wide initiatives and events that strengthen us as an institution has been very gratifying for me. I count among my successes being part of the teams that helped earn our 2005 reaccreditation, and prepared Loyola to host high-profile visitors to campus, including Doris Kearns Goodwin and the Dalai Lama.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
To me it means that at the end of the day I can take satisfaction in knowing that what I do contributes to a greater good—meaning higher education—and that I strive to make that contribution with honesty, integrity, and especially with love.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
My belief in Loyola’s mission, pride in my work, and the joy that my family and friends give me.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
There’s maroon and gold blood flowing through my veins!

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
Well, my closest colleagues already know this, but I’m a rabid Chicago Blackhawks fan. But even my closest colleagues don’t always know that I’m seriously addicted to The Walking Dead. Although the Daryl Dixon bobblehead in my office might be a giveaway.
