Access to Healthcare Applications Now Open!

This course provides students an opportunity to investigate historical perspectives on the impact of racism on the development and evolution of our healthcare system, consider how healthcare and insurance systems work in present day and continue to result in disparate health outcomes, and to prepare students to advocate for systems' change to create more equitable healthcare systems in our communities.

A significant component of the course is participation in an immersive field study to Mississippi during the Spring Break. Travel and accommodations for the trip will be arranged and funded by Loyola.
