Awards and Essay Contests
Every year, the History Department holds a series of essay contests, giving undergraduate students the opportunity to show off their writing and research skills, and of course, win some prizes! Currently, we have three awards and essay contests available for undergraduates:
History Blogging and Vlogging Contest (on hiatus for 2024-25 Academic Year)
Paul S. Lietz Award for Outstanding Historical Scholarship
For the 2024-25 Academic Year, the deadline for submissions for the Essay Contest is Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 5:00 pm.
