Empowering the Next Generation of Business Leaders: Jeff and Stephanie Jarczyk’s Call to Action for the Loyola Community

Jeff (BBA ’86) and Stephanie (MBA ’90) Jarczyk are calling on the Loyola community to rise to the occasion and embrace a powerful opportunity to support future business leaders. They have made an extraordinary commitment to students at the Quinlan School of Business, through a $1 million gift that will create lasting change for many.
Their gift will provide crucial scholarship support for students, particularly those pursuing accounting careers and Arrupe College graduates transitioning to Quinlan. Arrupe College, known for its mission to provide accessible, high-quality education to underrepresented students, offers a unique foundation for those looking to continue their studies at Loyola University Chicago. The impact of this gift will be far-reaching, creating pathways for students to achieve academic success and career stability, ultimately leading to the next generation of influential business professionals.
Ruby Hernandez (Arrupe ’23), a current Arrupe to Quinlan student and a recipient of a scholarship from the Jarczyks, describes how this kind of support transforms lives: "I have a dream of not living paycheck to paycheck. I want to be financially stable in the future, and accounting seemed like the perfect fit. Without the scholarship, I wouldn’t have been able to attend Loyola. It has taken a weight off my shoulders and given me the freedom to focus on my studies and think about my future without constantly worrying about how I’m going to pay for everything."
In addition to this incredible gift, Jeff and Stephanie are launching the Jarczyk Challenge, inviting the Loyola community to raise an additional $500,000. This will expand the scholarship opportunities available to Arrupe to Quinlan students, ensuring that even more students can pursue their dreams without financial barriers. As Jeff and Stephanie emphasize, “Now is the time to act. Your involvement in this challenge could help open doors for countless students, providing them with the support and opportunities they need to succeed.”
