Support our athletes

The Loyola Athletic Fund (LAF) supports all student-athletes and every intercollegiate program at Loyola. By investing in the LAF, you are investing in our mission of nationally recognized academic achievement, high-level competitive excellence, selfless service in our community, and uncompromising character. Your gifts provide critical operating support that includes leadership development, facility and equipment enhancements, and world-class experiences for our student-athletes.

You can help transform Rambler athletics by supporting the LAF. You can designate your gift to a specific sport or give to the general LAF, which supports the entire athletic department and our areas of greatest need. Every gift helps Rambler athletics reach the next level of competitive success.

The Norville Challenge

Alumnus, Loyola basketball Hall of Famer, and die-hard Ramblers fan Al Norville (BS ’60) is challenging all Loyolans to keep the Ramblers’ momentum going by matching the first $1 million of his cornerstone gift for the Loyola Athletic Fund. The Norville Challenge combines your gift with Al’s to give student-athletes an additional $2 million in support.

The Alfie Norville Practice Facility will bring Loyola closer to practice-space parity with our fellow Missouri Valley Conference institutions, increasing our competitiveness, improving our recruitment, and enhancing our athletics program."
— Steve Watson, director of athletics

The Alfie Norville Practice Facility

Al Norville’s cornerstone gift to the Loyola Athletics Fund will support the construction of a new building, which will be named the Alfie Norville Practice Facility in honor of Al’s late wife, Alfena.

This gift continues a transformational era in Rambler athletics. "The Alfie Norville Practice Facility will bring Loyola to practice-space parity with our peer institutions, increasing our competitiveness, improving our recruitment, and enhancing our athletics program," said Steve Watson, director of athletics.
