JON NILSON HONORED BY HANK CENTER

Every year the Hank Center presents the Living Tradition Award to a Loyola University Chicago emeritus faculty member who has exemplified the integration of Catholic thought into their work, research, and teaching. This year, the 2018 Living Tradition Award honors Dr. Jon Nilson, Associate Professor of Theology. The ceremony and reception will take place Friday, April 13, 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, McCormick Lounge, Coffey Hall. 

 

Raymond R. Mayer

We are saddened to learn of the death of Professor Raymond R. Mayer. Professor Mayer came to Loyola in the early 1960s from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago as a Professor of Production Management.  He was chair of the Department of Management Science  when he hired Father Ray Baumhart. Professor Mayer was a famous scholar and he had written a successful textbook on Production and Operations Management that was translated in numerous languages and produced in several editions. He received the Walter F. Mullady Endowed Chair in 1977 and retired in 1987 and became an Emeritus Professor.
