Please join us for the launch of Gerard Manley Hopkins Official Website
Tuesday, 11 September 2018, 3-5 pm McCormick Lounge, Coffey Hall, Lake Shore Campus
We will celebrate the publication of this important new web resource for students, scholars, and Hopkins enthusiasts. Project Director Prof. Frank Fennell will share some background on his inspiration and his experience developing this site. He will be followed by a panel discussion on the fate of poets and their reputation in the age of the internet and social media with Dr. Brett Beasley (Notre Dame), Mary Harmon (Loyola University Chicago), and Fr. Bob Oldershaw (St. Nicholas Church, Evanston). A reception will follow.
Many thanks to the support provided by the Loyola Jesuit Community, the Hank Center for the Catholic Intellectual Heritage, the Center for Textual Studies and Digital Humanities, and the English Department.
