Engage Your Teaching Workshops -- Oct 10 (WTC) and 11 (LSC)

Loyola now requires all students to take at least 3 credits of coursework that are taught with an engaged pedagogy. The University Engaged Learning Requirement can be fulfilled by any approved service-learning, academic internship, undergraduate research, field work, or public performance class. Election Simulation

The Center for Experiential Learning hosts 125 Chicago Public School high school students for an election simulation experience each year. The simulation aligns with student’s studies in civics classrooms in Chicago as well as current election cycles. Elect 2016, the next simulation, will take place on Friday, March 4, 2016. Loyola faculty, staff, and students will collaborate to deliver this civic learning experience for CPS students.

School seeks Loyola Men of Color for Racial Reconciliation and Civic Project

Brother to Hermano, a project of Hayt Elementary School in Edgewater, seeks to overcome the racial divide that exists by bringing together middle school boys of various ethnic backgrounds to strengthen their understanding of other cultures and provide an opportunity to be proactive in the community.
