- Intern at Catholic Charities Madonna House
I am currently an intern at the Madonna House, which is a safe shelter for women and their children. As an intern, I have many different roles. Throughout the day I am working with other staff members, residents, and their children. Each group has their own needs and interests, so I need to be flexible and open. Some examples of my responsibilities include planning youth programs that engage a variety of interests and ages, cooking with the mothers in the kitchen to feed all of the residents, and supervising younger children in the daycare. My favorite part about the internship is the variety. Sure, there is some routine, but every day is different, which has given me a multitude of experiences. I am excited to watch myself grow alongside the Madonna residents through this internship.
