Working in Volunteer Relations at Catholic Charities allows me to do both direct and indirect service. I work behind the scenes with Salesforce and VolunteerBridge to ensure that all Catholic Charities volunteers—for all 60 locations—have their paperwork in and are tracking their hours. I’ve had the great opportunity to sit in on many different program meetings such as Mary’s Closet, the Celebration of Giving, and Encore. In addition to my work in the Volunteer Relations office, I also am privileged to work the Tuesday Night Suppers at Catholic Charities' 721 location. During the suppers, I greet dinner guests, brew tea and coffee, serve dinner to the tables, and hand out to-go meals as our guests leave. It’s an incredible experience to see the behind the scenes of a non-profit organization. It is truly a privilege to work at Catholic Charities, all thanks to my incredible supervisor and coworkers.
