CEL Faculty Fellow

Rebecca Silton is the co-director of the Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience laboratory (CANlab) at Loyola (www.canlab.org). Their research focuses on using electroencephalography (EEG) methods to study how cognition is influenced by affect, emotion, and psychological disorders. Recent projects have focused on identifying psychological and neurobiological risk factors for depression. The lab provides hands-on experiential learning experiences for undergraduate students who enjoy presenting their research during the Loyola Weekend of Excellence and at national conferences. When Rebecca's not in the lab, she enjoys spending time with her family, curling up with a good book, or going out for a walk by the lake.
