Requirements

All students are required to complete the core requirements. For specific core requirements please link to:
http://www.luc.edu/core/incoming-first-year.shtml

However, there are some variations to the core depending on which college or school you are assigned to for your major.

For specific degree program requirements please link to the following site:

http://www.luc.edu/core/coreandmajor.shtml

  • If you are a student in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) or the School of Communication (SOC) you must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign Language through testing or instruction equivalent to 102 level or coursework.
  • If you are a student in the School of Business you must demonstrate proficiency in Calculus I (Math 131) which fulfills quantitative literacy core and business core requirements.
  • If you are a student interested in any of the health sciences that require general chemistry (CHEM 101) then you must demonstrate proficiency at the pre-calculus level (Math 118).  Math 118 is a pre-requisite for Math 131 and a corequisite for Chemistry 101. However, if you are a Chemistry Major then you should take Chemistry 105 which requires Math 161 as a pre or co-requisite.

Please make sure that you confer with an Athletic Academic Advisor if you have any uncertainties or questions about the specifics for your major course work requirements.
