This group of local area language centers was born in fall 2013 and continues to explore means of collaboration. Members include University of Chicago, Northwestern, UIC and Loyola. Website coming soon. Spring 2015

Rosetta Stone Foundations
The LLRC adopted a pilot program, offering nearly 1000 students in Loyola 101 and 102 language courses free access to the beginning level Rosetta Stone language learning software. Fall 2014

The film and video collection reached this count. The collection has been built over many years, primarily on the input of department faculty who integrate film into their teaching.  Fall 2014

Audio and video files at Loyola Media
Media files which accompany language courses are gradually begin shifted from this website (Digital Media) to Loyola Media. Fall 2014

Tell Me More
This FL (foreign language) instructional software is offered, by request, to Loyola students in intermediate language courses. Fall 2011  (Update: Rosetta Stone has acquired this software, offering  “RS Advantage” Fall 2014)

Teaching and Technology Graduate Teaching Assistants
Each year one Spanish M.A. grad student is being selected to serve in this position, assisting the LLRC Director in improving the services of the center, specifically working with faculty to improve the quality of language instruction through the use of technology. Fall 2011
