Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Wayne MagdziarzWayne Magdziarz, (BA ’81, MBA ’87 ), Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, began at Loyola University in 1982 and was an adjunct faculty member in communication for 9 nine years in addition to serving in various administrative roles. He was senior vice president for capital planning from 2002 until his current appointment in 2017. As head of capital planning, he oversaw Loyola’s multi-year campus redevelopment projects and guided acquisition, construction, leasing and sale of more than $1.5 billion in capital assets. During this time, the University acquired its campus in Rome, Italy and the Retreat and Ecology Campus in northwest Bull Valley, Illinois. In 2015 he created the university’s in-house investment property division which manages over 600 residential units and 100,000 sq. ft. of retail space on the Chicago campuses. As chief financial officer, he oversees the offices of budgeting and financial analysis, office of the controller, the investment office, treasury, sponsored program accounting, facilities and investment properties. In addition to his University work, Magdziarz serves as chair of the Finance Council of Holy Name Cathedral.
