Tour of Facilities

Lake Shore Campus

Campus Safety's main office is located at 6427 N Sheridan Road, in the Granada Building. This office is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Our main office serves as Campus Safety's nerve center for both our Lakeshore and Water Tower campuses. Our dispatch center is located in this building, where our trained dispatchers monitor radio and telephone communications as well as university cameras and LUC ID card access. The dispatch center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It might be hard to believe, but it is the only room in the entire University that has someone inside of it literally every minute of every day.

The main office also includes a roll call room which also is used as a meeting room and training location for our officers.

All of the administrative offices for Campus Safety are also located at this main location.

With the growth of Loyola south of the main campus, Campus Safety entered into a joint endeavor with the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago Transit Authority to open a satellite station near the Granville Redline stop in 2006.

This small station is only a few feet away from the Granville Redline station and can be accessed by anyone with a valid Loyola University ID card 24/7. It can be used as a safe haven for anyone walking to or from the Redline or anyone walking in the area. Emergency phones are located on the outside as well as the inside and will connect you immediately to the Campus Safety dispatch center with the push of a button.
