Crimes to Be Aware of in Rogers Park
Loyola Community,
The Department of Campus Safety is writing to inform you of two gang-related shootings that occurred in the Rogers Park neighborhood within the past week.
The first incident took place in the 1800 block of West Juneway Terrace on January 20 around 10:45 p.m., and the second incident occurred in the 7600 block of North Sheridan Road on January 23 at 12:45 a.m.
In both instances, it appears that the victims were specifically targeted by the perpetrators. Although these shootings took place a good distance away from the Lake Shore Campus, it is important for everyone to be aware of what is going on in the neighborhood.
Both of these incidents are currently under investigation by the Chicago Police Department (CPD). If anyone has information about these crimes, please contact the CPD by calling 911. You can also contact Campus Safety at 773.508.SAFE.
Sincerely,
Robert Fine
