Max Joseph

Max J. Joseph is a Ph.D. Political Science student from London, UK. He holds a BA Philosophy (Heythrop College, University of London) and an MSc International Public Policy (University College London). His primary research interests include diaspora politics and the impact of authoritarian regimes on Western democracies through diaspora community mobilization and de-mobilization. Prior to joining Loyola, he had worked as a writer, researcher and strategist on minority rights issues across the Middle East for almost 15 years, including within UK/EU governments and international human rights organizations. His writing has appeared in Newsweek, UnHerd and elsewhere, while his expertise on the Assyrian community has informed work by the Institute of Development Studies, VICE Media and the BBC.
