Paralegal Moves Online

Online Paralegal Certificates Are Here to Stay!

All Loyola Paralegal Certificates are now available fully online, even after pandemic restrictions have lifted!  The ABA amended their guidelines to permit fully online synchronous programs.  This is wonderful news for students who cannot make it downtown by 6 pm or live outside Chicago.

We have been fully online since March 2020, due to the pandemic restrictions.  We decided to keep all courses online through the end of 2021 to allow students and faculty time to adjust to returning to the office.  Beginning in January 2021, we will be offering a mix of online synchronous courses and traditional classroom courses.  We don’t expect to offer the same class in each modality during the same session, so a bit of planning is helpful for those who wish to take only traditional courses or only synchronous online courses.

Students who can take either online or traditional courses will have the most flexibility.

Pathways

Litigation students seeking online synchronous courses only, will find a Summer start works best.  Corporate students seeking online synchronous courses only, will find a Fall II start works best.  Corporate students preferring a traditional classroom experience, will do best beginning in Fall I.  Litigation students preferring a traditional classroom experience, should look to a Spring I (January) start.  Students who are interested in both modalities may begin in any of these sessions.
