Webinar Overview
Today’s college students face difficult financial decisions as they balance enrollment, employment, and everyday life expenses. The student debt level has exceeded $1.5 trillion and in the last decade, several fast-moving economic recessions have had debilitating affects on families and employment prospects.
During this webinar, we spoke to a panel of prominent scholars who addressed key questions in examining financial literacy education, including:
- Are college students financially literate?
- What is the financial literacy level of college students from underrepresented communities due to race or socio-economic status?
- What is the impact of financial literacy on financial inclusion?
- Do financial education programs, by themselves, create financial well-being and social mobility?
- How can we develop creative financial programs to enhance social mobility?
