Jake Braunsdorf

Jake is a Senior Manager in Enterprise Risk Management within the Cyber and Strategic Risk portfolio. With over a decade of experience across federal, higher education, and private sectors, he leads the Higher Education ERM practice, driving thought leadership, client relationships, and practice development. Jake specializes in enterprise and financial risk management, focusing on internal control, compliance, and risk assessment. He has payment integrity expertise and has led risk assessments and corrective action planning for large federal agencies. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Florida State University and an MBA from George Washington University.

Jonathan Buchbinder

Jonathan Buchbinder

Jonathan Buchbinder became Loyola’s Treasurer on March 1, 2023, bringing 40 years of finance experience, including 35 in risk management and insurance. He oversees risk management, insurance, debt issuance and compliance, and banking and cash management. Previously, he spent nine years as Director of Treasury at The Art Institute of Chicago, where he managed similar responsibilities along with endowment and retirement plan administration. He holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana.

Sarah Hughes

Sarah Hughes

Sarah Anne Hughes is an Audit and Assurance Managing Director at Deloitte & Touche LLP. In her role, she leads audit and assurance engagements, focusing on higher education clients. She specializes in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, helping institutions navigate complex regulatory environments and achieve operational excellence. Sarah holds a BBA in Accounting, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship from Washington University in St. Louis and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Teresa Krafcisin

Teresa Krafcisin

Teresa Krafcisin is the Senior Associate VP and Controller at Loyola University Chicago, overseeing financial reporting, tax compliance, financial systems, shared services, and student accounts. She began her career at Ernst & Young and has held senior financial roles in both public and nonprofit sectors, including international assignments. Teresa holds a BBA in public accounting from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA in finance and international business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a registered CPA (inactive) in Illinois.
