ADVOCACY COMPETITION TEAM TRYOUT AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION

This spring, Loyola will begin to hold tryouts for our 2025-2026 advocacy competition teams (mock trial, moot court and dispute resolution including Vis moot).

Students may tryout/apply for as many teams as they are interested in, but may only accept a position on one team per academic year.

Mock Trial Tryout Informational Sessions:

Moot Court Tryout Informational Sessions:

  • WEEKEND JD ONLY: Saturday, March 29th, 12:00pm at Loyola, Room 1103
  • ALL STUDENTS: Monday, March 31st, 12:00pm at Loyola, Room 1103
  • 2Ls/WJD 3Ls ONLY: Wednesday, April 2nd, 3:00pm via Zoom, https://luc.zoom.us/j/3926525611
    • Note: This session will include an oral argument training as related to the tryout prompt all 2Ls/WJD 3Ls will be expected to use

Vis Moot Informational Sessions:

Dispute Resolution:

  • The Client Counseling team, the Mediation Team, and the Negotiation Teams will be holding tryouts to field their 2025-2026 teams in the fall of 2025.
  • Informational sessions will be held early in the fall semester, before tryouts for these teams begin.
