Drawing thousands of people from around the globe every year, Lollapalooza Music Festival organizers are aiming to not only entertain but also educate its attendees. For the third year in a row, the fest is schooling music lovers on how they can minimize their environmental impact by diverting waste from landfills. Each day, Loyola student volunteers are on hand to help festival-goers dispose of their garbage and recyclables in the right bins. Known as the Divert It! team, the students are key to the success of Lolla's front-of-house composting system.

Again this year, Loyola students have the opportunity to help out with the recycling and composting efforts by joining the Divert It! teamcontinuing the momentum that was started two years ago when the partnership began. Plus, the four-hour shift comes with one major fringe benefit: access to the festival for the day.
