Where Students Served

During the 2015–16 academic year:

  • 2,519 students engaged in volunteer work through service-learning classes
  • That service benefitted 793 community partners in Chicago and beyond
  • Students provided approximately 113,550 hours of service to our communities
  • Using the Independent Sector's estimate of the value of volunteer hours (2015) of $23.56/hour (in Illinois), these efforts equal approximately $2,670,526 in goods and services
