About Us

ABOUT US:

The Facilities Management Division supports the University’s mission of “offering its students a transformative experience by planning, building, and maintaining an environment for our campus community to learn and live.” As part of the Facilities, Environmental Services helps facilitate a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and other stakeholders to explore, learn, and achieve their full potential.

Environmental Services provides the following:

  • Serve as a university resource regarding occupational health and safety topics, collaborating with campus departments.
  • Act as a liaison between the University and regulatory agencies, maintaining effective communication channels and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of regulatory standards and guidelines concerning environmental, health, and safety issues.
  • Offer consultation and inspections for environmental, health, and safety matters.
  • Develop safety and health guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate health and safety training.
  • Provide occupational health and safety resources to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding the hazard communication program.
  • Aid with emergency response protocols and procedures.

Environmental Services can help provide current information regarding environmental and occupational health and safety issues. The University's Emergency Response Plan coupled with our comprehensive safety program are part of the overall strategy for ensuring a safe environment at all Loyola University Chicago campuses.
