Participating in the Washington, DC, program was one of the best decisions of my undergraduate career. The community that I built, my internship at the Court, and living in the nation’s capital allowed me to realize what I want my future to look like, both in the career and personal spheres. This is one of the most unique opportunities that Loyola offers to all majors. By living in DC for the semester, we were able to get a taste of what post-college life would be like in a vibrant city. This program is ideal for gaining work experience, building professional relationships, and finding your path after college. DC is a city of unlimited options! -

The Loyola in Washington, DC program was the most influential and transformative experience of my collegiate career. In a single semester, I established a strong professional network, fulfilled my dream of interning for the United States government, learned about the evolving world of politics from incredible professors and guest lecturers and lived in one of the most historical neighborhoods in the country within our nation's capital. The Loyola in Washington, DC Program is the ideal place to develop the professional skills necessary to make your mark in the working worlds of politics, advocacy and private business. -

Deciding to participate in Loyola's Washington, D.C. program was one of the best decisions I've made during my time at Loyola. There were endless opportunities for networking and so many events/activities that helped me grow as a young professional. Susan and the rest of the faculty truly make sure you get everything out of the program and work with you to make sure you feel prepared to find a career after you graduate. -

LUC's DC Program is a wide-open gate of opportunity for students. Between instruction from DC professionals, field experience, and interviews with those across the career spectrum, this program provided me the tools to launch a successful career in, and out of, politics. Socially, the DC Program, or LUDC as I like to call it, allows you to step out of your on-campus comfort zone and experience a city with a culture catered for young professionals. Overall, LUDC is an opportunity to help you create connections, and memories, that can last a lifetime. P.S. Susan is also the best! -

Choosing the Loyola Washington, DC program was the best decision of my undergraduate career. Between my internship on the Hill, the incredible guest speakers brought into our classes, and countless networking opportunities, I was able to leave DC with numerous professional connections and job offers both in DC and back home. This program is unique in that it truly allows you to fully immerse yourself in a professional environment while completing your undergraduate education. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to jump start their career in politics, communications, advocacy, etc. You will leave this program with a greater understanding of yourself as a young professional, the perspective to pursue meaningful job opportunities, and the confidence to establish yourself in whichever field you choose to enter upon graduating. -

Spending one semester in Washington, DC, through Loyola's program was one of the best decisions I could have made for both my student and professional careers. Being able to get a sneak peek into the professional world and see how the political hub of our nation functions as a student is an opportunity not given to everyone. The faculty were more than helpful and really encourage you to network and make your mark. The experience I obtained through my specific internship will stick with me throughout my career and has shifted my perspective on trade associations. The program has tremendously helped me further develop my professional skillset and opened multiple doors for my future endeavors. -

Between running into Members of Congress on a regular basis, studying at the Library of Congress, touring every single Smithsonian museum, and interning in our nation’s capital, I was never short of an exciting learning opportunity. My semester in D.C. helped me to solidify what I want to do after graduating and gave me the opportunity to network with people who are in my field and at organizations where I might want to work for one day.
