Scholarships Automatically Awarded with Admission

Academic Scholarships: Freshmen

Presidential, Damen, Loyola and Trustee Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to academically qualified students based on information provided in the admission application process, without regard to financial need.

  • The Presidential Scholarship is a four-year scholarship, totaling $56,000 ($14,000 per year)
  • The Damen Scholarship is a four-year scholarship, totaling $40,000 ($10,000 per year)
  • The Loyola Scholarship is a four-year scholarship, totaling $34,000 ($8,500 per year)
  • The Trustee Scholarship is a four-year scholarship, totaling $24,000 ($6,000 per year)
  • The Dean's Scholarship is a four-year scholarship, totaling $16,000 ($4,000 per year) 

Academic Scholarships: Transfers

These scholarships, which range from $4,000 to $6,000 per year, are offered to academically qualified undergraduate transfer students, who have a minimum of 30 credit hours of transferable coursework. Scholarships are renewable for up to three years if students maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and complete at least 12 credit hours each term.

Mid-Year Transfers with less than 30 hours:

Students transferring to Loyola for the Spring Semester with less than 30 hours of transferable credit will not receive scholarship consideration until an official transcript from the Fall Semester has been received.

Note: Scholarships are renewed at the award amount applicable to the student's first year of enrollment.

   

Heritage Awards for Freshmen

Chicago Catholic Heritage Award
This award (awarded for four consecutive years of full-time enrollment) is made to new freshmen graduating from Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Diocese of Joliet. This award is restricted to tuition. 

Jesuit Heritage Award
This award (awarded for four consecutive years of full-time enrollment) is made to new freshmen graduating from Jesuit high schools who are Jesuit Secondary Education constituent members in the United States and Puerto Rico. This award is restricted to tuition. 

Students graduating from a Jesuit high school in Chicago will be awarded the Jesuit Heritage Award only.
