Ramblin' Around: The 2011 Student Guide to Loyola's Neighborhoods
Ramblin' Around is a unique student-to-student guide providing an extensive list of community restaurants, stores, and services to Loyola students around the Lake Shore and Water Tower neighborhoods. This publication is distributed annually to first-year and transfer students, encouring new students to explore all the opportunities offered in the diverse communities surrounding the Loyola campuses. Now in its ninth edition, this year's guide includes "Student's Choice" selections on local restaurants, free events in the city, neighborhoods to know, and much more.
This guide is meant to complement the original Ramblin' Around guide, serving as a quick-reference map including a wide variety of restaurants directly surrounding the Loyola campuses. Whether it's your first time in the Loyola neighborhood, or whether you're looking for a new local eatery in your old stomping grounds, pick up the Ramblin' Around Map and explore our community!
Ramblin' Around Town: The 2010 Student Guide to Alternative Transportation
The third branch of the Ramblin' Around family is the Transportation Guide. This pamphlet details how to get around the city of Chicago without a car, using means such as Loyola's shuttle system, public transit, and bicycling. Advising quick routes using key buses, marked bike lanes, the CTA red line, and the Borrow-A-Bike program, ramblin' around Chicago has never been so easy!
The Community Engagement Report details Loyola's activity throughout the Chicago community during throughout the acdemic school year 2008-2009. By cross-listing each community service by both Loyola Department and by type of engagement, readers are able to see Loyola's extended reach and impact on the greater surrounding Chicago community.
