Gabriela is beginning a Master’s in Social Work and Master’s in Women’s Studies and Gender Studies at Loyola University Chicago this fall. Gabriela was raised in the southwest and Colorado where she completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University. Most recently Gabriela has been working on migration issues alongside border communities in the Arizona borderlands.

From this work Gabriela is passionate about immigrant integration, de-militarization, Central American diaspora, as well as black and brown liberation projects. She also has experience working with mentoring programs, multicultural and diversity offices, youth literacy, and sexual violence awareness. In addition to pursing her graduate studies Gabriela also enjoys traveling, sunsets, and trying different things to eat in the city!
