In Summer 2023, Loyola began various stormwater improvements and interventions to protect campus buildings, including Piper Hall. Additionally, in March 2024, work began on the south lawn of Piper Hall to install a geothermal well. As these projects continue, the WLA remains open to visitors by appointment. The entrance to Piper Hall is on the west side of the building (see photo below).

Driving/Parking: Loyola’s Main Parking Structure is located at 1110 W. Sheridan Rd. Proceed through the main entrance of campus towards the Main Parking Structure located off Sheridan Road. Visit the Campus Transportation website for current parking fees.

Public Transportation: The Women and Leadership Archives is easily accessible by the CTA Red Line by using the Granville or Loyola stops. The cost is $2.50. The WLA is also easily accessible by the 147 or 151 bus routes, the cost of which is $2.25.

Accessibility: If you require the use of the elevator to reach the third floor reading room, please contact the WLA (WLArchives@LUC.edu) before or upon your arrival. A staff member will meet you at the entrance to the elevator on the first floor.
