Therapy Dog

All about Santos

Santos is Loyola's very own therapy dog! A 1 year old puppy, Santos was adopted by the Wellness Center in Summer 2017 from Orphans of the Storm shelter and was trained as a therapy dog at TOPS Kennel. He spends his days at the Wellness Center during regular business hours, but does have some time scheduled around campus at his "Sit with Santos" sessions. Santos lives with Father Hendrickson in Regis Hall.  He loves to take long walks, sleep, and lay around getting petted while spreading love and happiness to all who meet him. Santos mostly interacts with students during his weekly outreach and hangs out in the Wellness Center, but has limited availability and can possibly stop by Loyola events during business hours if his schedule allows. If you would like to submit a request related to Santos or have any questions, please email Mary Duckett at the Wellness Center at mduckett@luc.edu, or 773-508-2549. Follow Santos on Facebook or Twitter to see where he is on campus every week!
