
First-year student application process
Here's what you need to do to apply
1 Complete the online application. You can apply through the Common App or through our free online application.
2 Send your high school transcript. Send us an official transcript from every high school you’ve attended. Transcripts may be sent electronically by school officials to admissionforms@luc.edu.

If you were homeschooled at any point during high school please complete this form
3 Ask for a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. Only one is required. You can submit an email request through the online application, or use the recommendation form.
4 OPTIONAL: Submit your test scores. If you want to submit your SAT and/or ACT scores, you can, but you won’t be penalized if you don’t. If you do, we’ll review the highest subscore from each section.

Can I transfer credit from AP, CLEP, IB, or Cambridge programs?
Yes! It’s not required at the review of your application, but once you’re admitted, you should submit this information during the summer before your first semester. Learn more about Loyola’s transfer credit policy {link to the transfer credit page}.
How long will it take to review my application?
It can take up to six weeks to receive an admission decision. You’ll get an email once the decision is made, but you can check your status anytime by returning to your application portal here.
How can I apply for a scholarship?
You don’t have to! You’re automatically considered for $12,000 - $28,000 worth of scholarships with your application.
