Application Process

Send us an official transcript from every high school/secondary school you’ve attended. If you are enrolled in your final year of high school, please send records for the previous three years of school completed. If necessary, you should provide a translated copy in English. International transcripts may be sent electronically by school officials to internationaladmission@luc.edu.
If you were homeschooled at any point, please complete this form.

A letter of recommendation may come from a teacher or school counselor who can speak to your ability to be successful at Loyola. Students using the Common Application will submit a letter of recommendation through that system. Students using the Loyola application may send recommendation letter requests within the application. Recommendation letters may also be sent via email to admissionforms@luc.edu.

NOTE: Letters must always come directly from a teacher or counselor to be considered.

Loyola is test-optional so students can decide if they would like to include ACT and/or SAT scores in their application. Loyola superscores results, meaning we review the highest subscore from each section over multiple exams. If you include test scores, we recommend sharing all results. Students may self-report test scores or send them to Loyola via the testing agencies. If accepted, you will need to have the testing agency send your official scores to Loyola by May 1.

You get access to your student portal after applying. You will use this portal throughout the enrollment process to complete steps such as:

Frequently Asked Questions

If you need a student visa, you will receive additional instructions after your admission decision. You will be invited to the International Student and Scholar Services Portal through your LUC email address to complete an I-20 Request. Be prepared to upload a copy of the ID page from your passport, supporting documents showing funds available for the total cost of the year of study, and an Affidavit of Support (if applicable). These items are not required to receive your admission decision.

We do not waive English proficiency based on country of origin or medium of instruction. However, if you are taking AP or IB classes we can review your transcripts to see if you can receive an English language proficiency requirement waiver. You are also welcome to submit the SAT or ACT as proof of English proficiency if you prefer. Please have your test scores sent directly to us from the testing website.
