These undergraduates travel weekly to Curie High School ​to offer freshmen vital academic support while simultaneously building meaningful relationship with those students. Aida Ibarra, Junior

Criminal Justice

Aida is a junior pursuing a major in criminal justice and a minor in Arabic. While she may be short, she has big dreams to one day work in the FBI. When she’s not focused on school you can find her jamming to music, sharing a laugh with others, and spending quality time with the people she loves.

Andrea Humphrey, Sophomore

Elementary Education

Andrea is a second year student at Loyola University. She is studying elementary education with a reading minor, and enjoys working with kids as well as playing and learning different instruments!

Arian Rahim, Senior

French

Ariane is currently a senior at Loyola University Chicago majoring in French and double minoring in Arabic and Islamic World Studies. She enjoys meeting new people, reading books, and spending time outdoors. Ariane looks forward to a great year with TNT!

Colin Reilly, Junior

Philosophy

Colin is a junior at Loyola majoring in philosophy with minors in international studies and psychology. He is a Connecticut native who loves to travel, make music, and spend time with his friends. 

Emely Zamudio, Senior

Elementary Education

Emely is a senior at DePaul University majoring in Elementary Education and double minoring in ESL/Bilingual Education and Latin American and Latino Studies. Following graduation, she plans on staying in Chicago and teaching in CPS for many years to come. Emely's interests include reading, Latinx literature and eating lots of pizza! 

Ivy Zhu, Sophomore

Health Systems Management

Ivy is a sophomore studying Health Systems Management. She was born in Chicago, but was raised in Hong Kong for 4 years before coming back to Chicago to start elementary school. She loves trying new cuisines around the city. Ivy loves all animals but her favorite are cats. Some of her hobbies include playing video games, reading, and listening to music. 

Katy Kerby, Senior

Psychology

Katy is a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in neuroscience. She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She loves reading, Netflix, and cats, and is excited to be a part of TNT this year.

 

Kenna McWilliams, Junior

Political Science and Public Relations

Kenna is a political science major, also majoring in advertising/public relations. She has a passion for social justice and constantly reads up on social issues reported in the media. She believes it is important to expose yourself to new experiences in order to learn more about the world around you. Kenna does this by traveling to new places and going downtown with friends to cultural festivals in Chicago.

Matthew Walcutt, Sophomore

History and Latin

Matt is a sophomore, majoring in history and Latin with minors in Greek and socio-legal studies. Beyond his love for his hometown of Cleveland, he also loves traveling, doing art, and Cage the Elephant. His list of important yet useless skills include touching his nose with his tongue, reciting the first 10 lines of the Odyssey, and having memorized the Danny Phantom theme song. Matt is really excited for an awesome year with TNT!

Megan Deitchler, Sophomore

Biology and Spanish

Meg is a sophomore at Loyola, studying biology and Spanish in the Interdisciplinary Honors Program. Originally from Colorado, she enjoys backpacking, hiking and summiting mountains back at home. In Chicago she loves exploring new neighborhoods and spending time by the lake. Some of her favorite things are raspberry milkshakes, Game of Thrones and feminism. She loves spending time with students at TNT!

Megan Delaney, Junior

Molecular Biology

Megan is a junior majoring in molecular biology. She was born in Chicago, lived in Georgia for ten years, and then lived in New Jersey before coming back to Chicago for college. She loves all things biology, and she’s hoping to continue on to get her PhD in research genetics after undergrad. In her spare time Megan likes to do research, watch Netflix, and laugh with her friends. 

Sania Zaffar, Senior

Special Education

Sania is a senior at Loyola studying special education, reading, and Spanish. She enjoys exploring Chicago neighborhoods, going to museums, reading, and being outside. Her favorite food is ice cream (nearly all flavors aside from anything chocolatey)!!! 

Shana Ward, Sophomore

Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology

Shana is a sophomore at Loyola and is currently double majoring in behavioral neuroscience and psychology. When she’s not studying hard in school, Shana loves spending time in the city taking photos or enjoying the beautiful scenery. She also enjoys running, reading, and enjoying quality time in nature. Shana is excited to be a part of the amazing TNT team this year!
