Prof. Olivia Stewart Lester Named Centre for the Study of the Bible Fellow at Oriel College, University of Oxford

Assistant Professor Olivia Stewart Lester has been named to a three-year term as a Centre for the Study of the Bible Fellow at Oriel College, University of Oxford. Olivia will contribute to planning programming at the Centre, which will foster connections for our graduate students here at Loyola with the initiatives in Oxford. The Centre for the Study of the Bible was founded to promote the interdisciplinary study of the Bible across the Humanities and Social Sciences. It aims to revitalize and enhance the study of the Bible in the University by providing a forum for risk-taking research projects that integrate scriptural traditions – Jewish, Christian and Islamic – into the many disciplines of the Humanities.
