Roberta Lammers-Campbell, PhD
Senior Lecturer Emerita
Lammers-Campbell was the Director of the Academic Program and the Ecological Restoration at Loyola’s Retreat and Ecology Campus (LUREC). Lammers-Campbell has had a long-term interest in wetlands. She received her PhD from the Botany Department at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, where she studied the relationship between plant and insect (especially Chironomidae/Diptera) communities in a central Minnesota wetland. While teaching Wetland Ecology in and near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, she developed an abiding love of wilderness canoe camping, especially with her children and grandchildren. She continues to make yearly trips to the BWCAW and estimates she has visited there more than forty times.
