  • Diagnostic Radiology
  • Pain Management
  • Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

2. Sub-I Recommended

  • ICU: SICU or BICU
  • Wards: any surgical specialty

3. Narrative comments

Those students who are interested in pursuing a career in general surgery should express their interest as early as possible and become familiar with the faculty in the department of surgery. There are always exciting basic science and clinical projects for medical students in all years of their training. A strong foundation in internal medicine is also recommended. All of our faculty are always willing to speak with students about their interests, career paths, and how to best achieve their goals.
